Forum Transcript

The first-ever forum on the role of sport in educational reform was hosted by the American Sports Institute on April 27, 2001, at Tamalpais High School in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The forum consisted of a panel of distinguished presenters discussing: 1) the health and fitness of America's schoolchildren; 2) a reformed and
refurbished approach to physical education; 3) the validity of sport in
the educational experience; and 4) the positive aspects of sport culture
as a model for reforming our nation's schools. The discussion was followed
by questions from the audience to the panelists.

Immediately below are panelists and affiliations. For an introductory overview
of the forum, the forum flyer, and a transcript of the forum, click on the navigation
